Amount of subsidies for solar panels for businesses
The first thing you should know is that we are at an unprecedented moment in the public promotion of self-consumption, because until 2026 900 million euros will be allocated just to promote this type of solutions.
The subsidies for self-consumption range from 15% to 35% depending on the size of your company.
- Large companies: the percentage of aid for the installation of the photovoltaic plant can be up to 15%.
- Medium-sized companies: 25% of the cost may be eligible.
- Small companies: up to 35% subsidy. Also applicable to small systems, less than 10 kW.
The amount also depends on the power installed in each company.
2,000 - 4,000 kWh. Assumes 1,188 €/kW
4,000 - 6,000 kWh. With subsidies of 910 € kW
6.000 - 8.000 kWh. 749 kW
Location is also important. Companies located in small towns of less than 5,000 inhabitants can benefit from an additional 5% of these subsidies.
Therefore, there is no fixed amount; it depends on the size, installed capacity and location of each company. These three factors will determine the final amount of the subsidy to be received.
An important note is that the subsidies for self-consumption that we have just detailed are different from those for storage, in which the subsidies increase by 65% for small industries; 55% for medium-sized companies and 45% for large companies.
