The photovoltaic installation, which is located 3.6 kilometres from Seville, is expected to produce 22,460 MWh/year.

It will supply 22,623 homes with green electricity; that is, almost 30% of the total number of homes in the neighbouring municipality, Alcalá de Guadaira. In this way, it will contribute to avoiding the emission of 6,131 tonnes ofCO2 annually.

Luis Fraga, Managing Director Ekhi Large Scale, highlighted the strategic importance of this acquisition for the company, whose business is dual and is based both on the generation of greenfield photovoltaic projects and on the acquisition of attractive projects in areas with high radiation.

"This transaction strengthens Ekhi's vertical growth to provide more value to other lines of business, such as our trading company Ekhi Power."

The transaction, which was completed at the end of October and was brokered by Carmen Mateas, founding partner and managing partner of the law firm Mateas Abogados, specialized in the telecommunications and energy sectors, was carried out through the acquisition of the project by Ekhi Energy, S.L from Jinko Power Limited, which is listed as the majority owner. and the Visasur group and other shareholders.

Today, Ekhi has almost 30 MWs of photovoltaic projects with discharge to the grid and another 20 MWs of self-consumption projects.

This acquisition of 11.3 MWs in Seville is another step on Ekhi's path towards its goal of giving its customers access to clean and cheap energy 24 hours a day.
