New photovoltaic self-consumption project for Renolit, a global leader in plastic sheeting with more than 75 years of history

Ekhi, which offers large-scale distributed renewable energy services, will develop Renolit's photovoltaic self-consumption project in the Navarre town of Villatuerta. With more than 75 years of history, presence in more than 30 centers in over 20 countries and almost 5,000 employees, Renolit relies on Ekhi for the development and execution of this key project to achieve its sustainability and energy efficiency goals.

Ekhi's photovoltaic installation will occupy 3,732.8 square meters, with 1,445 panels installed, and will produce 938.32 MWh per year with a peak power of 830 kWp. This plant will have a benefit for the sustainability of the area equivalent to planting 2,147 trees per year and will reduceCO2 emissions by 243 tons per year.


Environmental impact and efficiency:

"This rooftop photovoltaic self-consumption project will not only optimize Renolit's economic results, but will also make a decisive contribution to the decarbonization of this part of Navarra, since theCO2 reduction is equivalent to the pollution that would be generated by a car traveling more than two million kilometers a year."

The collaboration model between Ekhi and Renolit is based on a PPA On Site agreement, where clean energy generated directly at the consumer's facilities significantly reduces the cost of electricity. With a duration of 15 years, Ekhi will be responsible for installing, distributing and maintaining the installation, which will generate an amount of energy equivalent to the annual supply of 14 single-family homes.
