Energy platform Ekhi, which offers both distributed and large-scale renewable energy services, has completed a new solar photovoltaic installation in Corbera, Valencia, in collaboration with Bollo Natural Fruit, formerly known as Fruxeresa.
The facility has 267 solar panels distributed over an area of 584 square meters capable of generating approximately 162.4 MWh of energy per year. This production avoids the emission of 44 tons of CO₂ per year, which is equivalent to planting 2,217 trees each year.
As in the Fruxeresa project in Alzira, the business model adopted is an onsite PPA on rooftop, with a duration of 15 years, which allows Bollo Natural Fruit to directly consume the clean energy generated at its Corbera plant and reduce its carbon footprint.
The project has received approval for a grant of €38,893.88 from IVACE, within the framework of the European Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union through Next Generation funds. This funding underlines the importance of the project within the strategy of sustainable economic recovery and energy transition in Spain.
